Big news to all Maltese food lovers – Nenu the Artisan Baker is now in Imġarr – the obvious choice when it comes to Maltese cuisine in a traditional Maltese village!
It was Nenu’s dream to preserve Maltese traditional recipes: an idea that had long been brewing at the back of his mind. On a trip to Germany, Nenu had visited an old brewery which had been transformed into a brewing exhibition. This experience inspired him to do something along the same lines. Nenu decided to open a traditional Maltese restaurant with the traditional ftira as its signature dish. Finding the right location for the restaurant was key and finally Nenu settled on an old bakery in St Dominic Street Valletta which had been completely restored and inaugurated in 2012.
After seven years of success in Valletta, now we are ready to serve more delightful authentic Maltese dishes such as the ftira, fried rabbit, pork shank, Beef olives, Widow’s soup, Date Fritters, Maltese ice-cream and much more at our new restaurant in Triq il-kbira, Imġarr.
