We are currently seeking to recruit responsible individuals in the following roles:

 

Head of Kitchen

 The selected candidate will be mainly responsible for providing support and guidance to the Kitchen Section and meeting up with the production demands. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Managing the team in the day-to-day running of the department;
  • Liaising with the production manager to set up weekly production schedules;
  • Coordinating food preparations and production duties under the supervision of the Head Chef;
  • Empowering employees to provide high quality products;
  • Ensuring that proper HACCP practices are followed. 

Qualifications/experience required:

  • A self-motivated team leader; 
  • Able to communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels;
  • Responsible and trustworthy;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry.

 

Demi Chef

 The selected candidate will be responsible to cook the prepared food items following specific recipe guidelines while ensuring that all food products exceed quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Organized and able to work in fast-paced, high pressure situations is important.
  • Ensure that proper preparation methods and food production procedures are completed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and acknowledge any concern or equipment malfunctions, seeking a solution.
  • Communicate solutions, problems and new ideas to team members and management.
  • Follow all health, safety and restaurant regulations of city and state health guidelines

Qualifications/experience required:

  • Must exhibit productivity enthusiasm, be self-motivated and flexible.
  • Able to communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels;
  • Responsible and trustworthy;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Accounts Clerk

 We are looking for a responsible and well-presented employee to join our Accounts Team.

Main Tasks:

  • Sorting and filing office documentation; 
  • Day to day posting in nominal, purchases and sales ledger;
  • Accounts reconciliations;
  • Debtors and creditor management.

Qualifications / experience required:

  • An ability to write fluently in Maltese and English;
  • Have an A level standard of education; 
  • Strong administrative skills;
  • Able to work on his / her own initiative;
  • Have a pleasant and out-going personality.

Stewards

  • Cleaning of cooking ranges, ovens, grills, fryers and other cooking equipment.
  • Performing manual work, utilising equipment and machinery provided in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
  • Using dish-washing machine correctly and maximise efficiency, ensuring its overall cleanliness and proper draining.
  • Cleaning of rooms and other facilities as instructed.

Operators

With a rapidly expanding retail sector, Maypole is seeking to recruit a Machine Operator in its factory at Tal-Handaq (Qormi) in the Bakery section.

The chosen candidate shall be responsible for various quality checks during the production and placing of prepared items in appropriate cases. The vacancy is on a shift basis which will include Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays.

Dispatcher

The selected candidate will be  responsible for registering and taking orders for the factory and ensuring that items are dispatched on time in line with company standards and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Able to coordinate work among different delivery points
  •  Ensuring products reach different outlets on time
  •  Level standard of education
  •  Fluent in Maltese and English
  •  Fluent in the use of Microsoft office applications
  •  Able to work in a fast paced environment
  •  Ready to work on weekends and night shifts when required

Drivers/Delivery Persons

We are seeking responsible drivers/ delivery persons to join our team.

 Main tasks:

  • Un/loading of products into vans
  • Distributing products as ordered in different outlets
  • Checking order forms and invoices
  • Ensuring products delivered arrive in good condition

 The ideal candidate should:

  • Hold a valid and clean driving license (License C is required)
  • Read and write in Maltese and English
  • A responsible attitude
  • A polite and pleasant approach with clients
  • Must be willing to work during the weekends

 Shop Attendants

You will be responsible for assisting customers, stacking products and cashiering items, delivering a high quality service throughout.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • O level standard of education.
  • Fluent in Maltese and English.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • A responsible, pro-active attitude.
  • Ready to work Sundays and Public Holidays.
